Gran Willie Mae Turner

This is my grandmother who was born in northern Louisiana. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and cousin. Family was very important in her life. She was a great cook — mainly southern cuisine — and what she was raised on growing up in Louisiana. One of my early life lessons from her was not to turn anyone away if they are hungry and you have food to feed them.
